Outages

Please use the following process (steps) when experiencing a power outage; this will help MCEC serve you better. And remember, your service will be restored as quickly as possible.

Step 1: Verify Outage

Check all fuses and/or breakers in the main electrical pannel. If there is a problem in the main pannel please call an electrician not MCEC.Step

2: Gather Information

Before contacting MCEC please gather the following information

Know Account Number and/or Map Location Number – found on monthly electric bill
See if neighbors have power

Also, let MCEC know the names and location of members who depend on life-support equipment. We will make every effort to give priority to restore service to members on life- support systems. We keep an emergency registry and it is important that the information be up-to-date. Please call our office at 939-7171. MCEC recommends that you have an emergency stand-by generator in this situation.
