In 2020 MCEC is replacing all electric meters. The technology used to remotely read meters is changing, thus requiring all meters to be replaced. If power needs to be disconnected to replace your meter, a lineman will attempt to notify you in advance by ringing the doorbell and/or knocking on your door.

Recently, MCEC employees, Julie Rohr and Allan Masterson traveled to Decatur for the 2019 Farm Progress Show. Several Illinois Touchstone Energy Cooperatives joined forces to set up a tent that included a Live Line and Pole Climb demonstrations. Employees were on hand to answer questions and give out Touchstone branded items.
