COVID-19 Office Closure Update – click here
MCEC understands that the governor’s stay-at-home order has put a financial hardship on a good portion of our cooperative members.
In the event you find it impossible to pay your monthly electric bill, please contact our office and we will help make payment arrangements with you. We encourage you to pay as much as you can on your electric bill.
As a member-owned not-for-profit organization, we collect our revenue through the monthly electric bills. This revenue pays for the purchase of electricity from SIPC as well as other costs associated with providing reliable electric service. If MCEC doesn’t collect the revenue needed to cover these costs, we will have to borrow funds and this will increase rates in the future. MCEC appreciates your efforts in these circumstances.
Our goal is to work with and help any member that has a true need of assistance and get them past this time of struggle and uncertainty.
Thank you and stay safe.
